CareHuts
are school-based student care centres that provide affordable
after-school care for children from low-income and single parent
families. These children are often left without a caregiver after
school as their parents need to work and are unable to afford high
student care fees. CareHut provides a wholesome environment so that
they do not fall prey to street gangs and other undesirable influences.
Our five CareHuts are at Pei Tong Primary School, Eunos
Primary School, Stamford Primary School, Zhonghua Primary School and New Town Primary School.
d'Klub
is a mentoring programme that aims to provide primary school children
with guidance in their studies and at the same time develop their self
worth and character. Volunteers are assigned to children on a
one-to-one basis.

In
partnership with the Singapore Prison Service, our Prison Care Services
(through its Resettlement Programme) helps ex-offenders re-integrate
into their families and society to start life afresh. We prepare
inmates to reintegrate back into society by providing financial
assistance, counselling/mentoring and referrals to social support
resources, and help inmates explore their habits, thinking patterns and
coping methods, so as to lower his or her chances of re-offending.

As
the name suggests, this programme is all about surprising and
delighting our beneficiaries. This supplements the on-going practical
help and counselling they receive from CCSS. Our goal is to help
restore their hope in life and their faith in people, to reignite their
confidence to face the future, and to help them lift up their heads to
see the light at the end of the tunnel. We work with corporate and
individual sponsors to make this happen.
